Seems like the worst decision I've made here on exchange.. is to change my hairstyle.
I miss my previous hair so much.
And I regret the decision even more.
Sure enough, it looked pretty for one day (yeah, one day) but now, I don't really recognise my own hair anymore. It has become dry, thin and brittle - the damage done to the hair follicles is worse than I imagined - and combing my hair has turned into an immensely traumatising and upsetting affair. Sigh.

Uh-oh.
I never thought I would say this but.. I am SO GONNA MISS the me-time once I move in with my friends next Monday.. Staying in this room on my own - though the room's puny - has been such a liberating experience so far! I can do anything I want, sleep and wake at anytime, watch anything anytime on the television, take as long a shower as I desire, wear anything I want without being judged and basically, just be myself! I can't imagine how rooming with four other people would be like..! One room, one television and worse, just one bathroom! \(TAT)/
Kyaa, if only.... hahah :P

A Movie Buff's Dream
Movies I've watched so far:
In a word: Disorienting (we watched this in 4D)
In a sentence: Great cinematography but the movie fell short of my expectations - it was trying to achieve too much with too little.
In a word: CRINGE
In a sentence: The acting was so bad and cheesy, I had to give myself a time-out during the movie.

In a word: Handsomeeeee (haha)
In a sentence: I've never been a fan of Capt America (since I didn't like Chris Evans that much) but this movie made me change my mind ahhahaha :P The interesting portrayal of Nick Fury's character helped as well. (okay, I know that was two sentences)

In a word: Witty
In a sentence: I really appreciated the lighthearted humor, the chemistry between the male and female leads shined through but somehow, I left the theatres feeling shortchanged... (this sentence hasn't ended hahaha) perhaps because the villain characters were not fleshed out well enough (Electro especially and Rhino) and the action scenes were not as impressive and memorable.
In a word: Terrific.
In a sentence: It's the best movie blockbuster this summer, period.
In a word: (two words please?) Pacific Rim.
In a sentence: Felt like Source Code + Pacific Rim + a spoonful of Oblivion - I mean, the way they killed the Omega was identical to the way they killed the Kaiju!

In a word: Huh?
In a sentence: I was bored, this was an action movie, oh, my, god. (didn't help that Charleston kept laughing during the movie -.- at the product placements, the cheesy dialogue or the acting)

Soundproof, not!
I was quite surprised to see the description that the rooms at my place are soundproof (sounds too good to be true) and haha as I've found, soundproof their heads la!
The first morning, I was awakened by the sound of someone trying to open the door - I honestly thought someone was trying to break in -.- so I sat up, alert. It was only when the vacuum came to life that I realised the housekeeper was cleaning the room next door.. (facepalms) Soundproof walls? Sounded more like the walls didn't even exist.. Then the housekeeper tried to unlock my door (I saw the doorknob moving) and that freaked me out ahahha XD That was when I decided it was time for me to wake up haha :P
Then, the next afternoon, I realised that gosh, even the doors weren't keeping the noise in! I could hear the ladies chatting and laughing in their rooms as I sat in the pantry..! Oh noo, can people hear me talking in my room???
Tonight's observation has got to take the cake though. LOL. I could hear someone.. showering and clearing his throat!!! Hahhahaha that was an epic facepalm moment..! Biggest joke (about soundproof rooms ever)!

Moving out.
21st June 2014 (Saturday) - night
It's the last day in dorm already!
I thought I would cry but I didn't.
Too many thoughts running through my mind.
Is this the end or a new start?
It's the last day in dorm already!
I thought I would cry but I didn't.
Too many thoughts running through my mind.
Is this the end or a new start?
Call me Hulk.
This is what I felt like after two trips to the post office on consecutive days.
The first day really pushed my limits - to carry a 11.9kg box down the hill to the school building? 진짜 장난 아냐..! It was certainly heavy but what got to me was the uncomfortable width of the box - it was far too wide for me to hold onto the box properly and the sides kept digging painfully into my elbows/arms/stomach.. ): I was most worried about my back because it hurt so much, despite the fact that I had used the best posture (or at least I hope I did haha) for lifting items. It was a long, arduous walk but hey, I eventually managed to get it to the post office without any help. I could have asked a guy friend for help.. but I just don't feel too good about asking for such favors from people, especially when I know that it will be physically exhausting - it's kinda like a 'it's-my-load-so-I-should-carry-it-myself-why-subject-someone-else-to-that' reasoning. Tough on me.
Alas! I realised when I got back to my room (probably after 1 hour lol) that hohoho (this is what a sad santa will sound like), all my things ain't gonna fit into my 2 luggages so woohoo (delusional now), time for another trip to the post office! This time round, the box was much lighter (I think it was around 9.2kg?) but the walk down was worse than the day before T^T because firstly, I was still aching from the previous day's trip, secondly, my arm muscles were sore and lastly, the width of the box was even longer. Orz The previous box was a size 4 whereas the new box was size 5... Haha that explains why I have bruises on my arms right now. My roommate was so kind as to help me carry the box for the last 100m - she was on her way out and she actually took the hill route so that she could catch up with and help me with the box :') - but by the time I reached the last 100m mark, I was literally drenched in sweat and jelly-fingered/handed/legged. When we got to the post office, I was literally dripping sweat. (._.)\ Did I mention that my back and arms hurt like mad now?
I somehow end up having these Hulkian moments on every trip. Gah. Perhaps I need to be like those girls I meet on my way down the hill - find a GUY to do the job for me. Hahaha, maybe not. X)
It's too soon.
It's already the second last day in the dorm.
Wow, time passes crazy fast.
(and packing's such a shitty chore)
